About the Trail

The linear, low-level Broadford Bay Trail starts at the New Pier in Broadford and ends at St Maol Rubha’s Well in Ashaig, taking in a total of 14 points of interest along the way.Once you have downloaded the app and begun the trail, your phone tell you where you relative to the points of interest and provide you with information specific to each site.

The walk is approximately 4.2 miles in length and should take between 1.5 and 2 hours to complete. The trail mostly follows a vehicular road except between Waterloo and Lower Breakish where a footpath links both townships. The trail is predominantly flat although there are one or two small hills in Breakish. Please be aware of cars, especially on roads that are single track. Please also be aware that because Ashaig is part of common grazing land and is unfenced, cows may be present and may be aggressive.

The trail can also be completed in sections by driving and parking at various points.
